This is an advanced Cryotherapy (cold therapy) innovation that is a fast, effective, safe and new solution for the removal of skin imperfections. The treatment emits a fine jet of Nitrous Oxide under high pressure, because it is a fine jet, it allows millimetre precision. This destroys the tissue by freezing the inter-cellular fluid, thereby destroying the cell. That means there will be no collateral damage to healthy tissue. It is so incredibly accurate. Procedure areas typically last from 5 to 30 seconds.

SKIN TAGS

These are small flaps of skin, that protrude and hang away from the flat of the skin often with a stalk or pedicle. They are usually seen in places with friction. They may be any size, most often seen around the neck or in the axillae, groin, under the breast or around the eye area. They are the most common minor skin lesion. They are no longer treated by the NHS as they are seen as a cosmetic procedure.
PIGMENTATION & AGE SPOTS

These patches are caused by exposure to UV light, causing an increase in melanin production by the melanocyte cells. Larger areas may require more than one session.
MILIA

These are generally small raised pearly bumps often seen around the eyes, or on the cheeks and forehead. But they can appear anywhere on the body. They are often found in clumps and may be pearly white or yellowish in colour.
WARTS & VERRUCAE

Warts and verrucas are small lumps on the skin. They usually go away on their own but may take months or even years. Warts do not cause you any harm, but some people find them itchy, painful or embarrassing. Verrucas are more likely to be painful – like standing on a needle.
These can be treated with Cryotherapy, you may need further treatments 4 weekly if there is a cluster.

ARE THERE ANY SIDE EFFECTS?

The area treated is frozen by Cryotherapy. This kills the localised cells in the area which cause them to shrivel and die. The treated area may go darker over a few weeks, but will return to normal pigmented skin in about 6 weeks, however, some people do take longer to heal.
IS THE TREATMENT PAINFUL?

There will be a pain sensation similar to stinging on the skin when the Nitrous Oxide reaches the bottom of the area being treated. There may be a little residual stinging for a few minutes after treatment, this is normal.
AFTERCARE AND GENERAL HEALING EXPECTATIONS
Aftercare advice specific to the area treated will be given following your treatment. We are always here to support and offer information and advice, so please ask us.
General Healing Expectations:
- Most healing will take place in 4 to 6 weeks. However it may take longer sometimes as all skin varies and can take longer to regenerate.
- If your immune system is compromised, you may still have treatment, BUT healing may take longer, and you may require further treatment.
- During the healing time, you may shower/wash as normal and use your usual cosmetics, including makeup, deodorants and moisturising creams.
- IMPORTANT INFORMATION – It is important that you use sunblock (factor 50) following treatment of any pigmented lesions to prevent them from re-pigmenting. For any area treated do not rub dry, pat the area or leave it to dry.
